Living with Friends or a Partner

If you are renting a property with friends or your partner, or a complete stranger you need to make sure that everyone’s name is on the lease. This means everyone will have an obligation to pay the rent, contribute to the bond and keep the property in a good condition.

When sharing a house it is important to be clear with each other about visitors, noise, cleaning and respecting each others space. If you are sharing costs you should have a system of making sure everyone contributes and pays their fair share.
